Tatmadaw takes control of one more post of Assam and Kathe insurgents

In response to a tip that Assam and Kathe insurgents who posed themselves as members of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplaing (NSCN-K) had been deployed near the NSCN (K) outpost in the village of Ta Ga and surroundings areas in Naga Self-Administered Zone in Sagaing Region, Tatmadaw columns conducted security operations as of 29 January, and took control of their posts, and are continuing security operations, it was reported on 3 and 6 February respectively.
From 8 to 19 February, Tatmadaw columns occupied another post in the area from which they arrested four Kathe insurgents and seized 53 pieces of assorted arms, ammunition, accessories and equipment. Tatmadaw columns have so far arrested six NSCN (K) members, six Kathe insurgents, 79 assorted arms, ammunition and accessories, and will continue security operation to prevent unlawful armed organizations from infiltrating into Naga Self-Administered Zone, and for regional peace and stability.
