THREE CORPSES OF DAINGNET ETHNICS FOUND WITH SLASH WOUNDS ON NECKS NEAR OLD KUNTHIBIN VILLAGE

Members of the security force made a search operation in collaboration with villagers on 16 February as village administrator U Maung Sein Tun reported that three Daingnet ethnics U Hla Tun Aung (son of U Htwi Hla Oo), U Chit Tun (son of U Maung Ba Oo) and U Maung Sein Tun (son of U Khaung Akay) from Thinbawhla Village, Thaechaung Village-tract, Maungtaw Township, Rakhine State went to old Kunthibin Village to catch crabs at around 8 am on 15 February and did not arrive back in the village till nearly 10 pm.
As the members of the security force found a new suspected pit around 1,000 metres in the east of old Kunthibin Village at around 12 am at noon during the search operation, they in cooperation with doctors of the People Hospital, a township judge and departmental officials from Maungtaw Township dug the pit and found the dead bodies of three Daingnet ethnics with slash wounds on the necks. In order to uncover the truth regarding the case, a lawsuit has been filed at Taungpyoyar Constabulary Police Station.
